A Sliver of Arunachal

Brad Meiklejohn looks over the Kameng River

October, 2013 Arunachal Pradesh – “Land of the Dawn Lit Mountains” North Eastern India.

Route Taken: Western most sliver of Arunachal ~ Bhalukpong – Bomdila – Dirang – Sela Pass – Tawang

Packrafters: Brad Meiklejohn, Alaska Banshan Kharkongor, Meghalaya Zorba Z. Laloo, Meghalaya

We paddled sections of the Kameng, the Dirang Chu, the Sangti valley river, the Chug valley river and one renegade run on a high altitude lake at Sela Pass. Beautiful. Remote. Pristine Rivers everywhere. Lush valleys. Magnificent forests.

It was so good that i refuse to write anything about it, except post some photos and videos.
Go and experience it. Drop a line if paddlers want help with logistics to this beautiful part of our world.

2015 will see us put together a small crew from Shillong, use Dirang town as a base and paddle everyday. 🙂
